LOVED this film - a breath of fresh air!

I'm always looking for something original to read since I'm a writer. This film was fresh, intelligent, creative and powerful. I felt each man was twisted in some fashion although pitied many of them.

The strongest scene was the dialogue between the son and the young version of his father working in the fancy bathroom. Wow. Blew me away. I was in tears by the end of that dialogue.

Break-up guy had me cracking up - as a female, how many of us dated that guy? lol

Amputee arm guy - he had me feeling as though the women actually made him feel better about his arm and that he needed their comforting words/mannerisms. Being disabled myself, I have the same insecurities even though I am complimented on my physical appearance quite often. A disabled person still feels very incomplete inside and this dialogue was brilliantly captured.

I've never read a David Wallace novel and now, I picked up many samples of his work on my NOOK last night after watching this film on the Sundance channel. I'll probably start with this novel because I'd love to hear more about the characters Krasinski could not fit into the script.
Underrated film but aren't most indie films?

Thanks for turning me onto a new author, Mr. Krasinski! I'm such a lit snob and find it difficult to find much that excites me these days. So happy you made this into a film. Brush off the ignorant and continue directing. You're a talented director.

I recommend this movie to every woman who experienced nasty break-ups. Everyone is weird or hideous in their own, secret sense.

I agree with you. This film is vastly underrated.
