Why doesn't the kid have a name?

It bothered me. It bothers me even more that it's probably some artistic, deep reason like, rather than having a name he just represents a force of change in the main character's life or some other crap.

It wasn't even subtle him not having a name. I mean really. His scenes were the only scenes worth watching anyway.
