Seriously, the best thing to do is to not get married in the first damn place. There's nothing you can when you're married that you can't do when you're not married except get divorced. And if you are foolish enough to get married and your spouse cheats on you, don't do anything except leave. Don't take revenge or any stupid stuff like that because you'll end up with worse problems than a broken heart...

Although recording your spouse having sex with someone else and putting on the internet might make you feel better and won't get you into state prison

Bingo. Do NOT get married and do NOT have children. Not getting married is the best decision in my life! Every married couple I know hate each other, but can't leave because of children.

Your wife is challenging you by cheating on you and therefore you must kill the other guy?

Here is what is flawed with that reason of thought:

1) A wife is not a possession. Relationships are mutual.

2) If youre gonna kill, dont kill the other guy. Maybe he didn't know she was married. Even if he did, it is impersonal, there is no direct disrespect to the husband because he likely has no idea who the husband is...he just wants to have sex. A lot of guys want to have sex and are willing to if a woman presents it. The ball is in the cheating wifes court. It is her move. The guy is just an innocent bystander.

Leave the guy alone. He was just following his natural inclination to reproduce. If she's cheating on you then it's personal and its the worst thing she can do to you, it is complete disrespect and will likely make you feel inadequate/used/betrayed/etc. But that is your fault too. Why?

If your wife cheats on you it means one of TWO things:

1) You are neglecting your wife.
or
2) You married a whore. And that makes you kind of stupid.

Either way, if your wife cheats on you, it's your own damn fault.

I'd figure out what the hell was up, try to figure out if the marriage was worth salvaging. I love my wife but, hypothetically speaking, it would destroy me.

What can you do when your spouse doesn't want you. You've obviously lost your mojo.

Insofar as the movie, it wasn't clear that the wife wasn't willing to support him in his next life endeavor. If "Bill" was running off to find himself again, I just don't know. I think he might have found a road of compromise. It seems she would have gone with. Did Bill honestly think he could find better than that? Yeah right.

Women don't necessarily leave you if you've had a tragic car accident and are handicapped. And then, if they screw someone else, well you might even be the one giving them permission. I know I would.

But let yourself totally go? Depression, and lack of success rarely breed support. You aren't a lead dog anymore.

your wife or husband is the most important decision in your life IMHO

so one usually has intense feelings. love is the goal---
anyway cheating becomes an extreme event with overwhelming pressure.
there is no one answer. when it happened to me... I tried to understand why
and 9 years later I am still trying to understand it. We stayed together
but things changed. changed in ways I never could have predicted.

bottom line is I love her.
the question above is silly or even stupid. who cares who the guy is. she made the choice. Any action you take does not change what happened. It is a crazy thing about people, they want revenge. when someone killed a family member, what did punishment do to bring that person back???Believe me nothing.

we pair off (mostly) and marriage is not a word it is a sentence-we have to live it and its ups and downs.
If you really liked and loved your wife in the begining then I think it is worth doing your best to try to make it work. To live with infidelity may even be harder then breaking up. something about the promise in the vows that i have great respect for. better or worse. do you think that is a catch phrase
