hmmm well both are horrible to say the least and both are similar because they deal with neighbors that throw their version of Christmas down everyone's throat whether you like it or not. Here is what I would like to see: Danny Devito's character moves in to the Kranks neighborhood and drives everyone crazy by outdoing everyone with all his decoration and show antics. This would give the idiots in the Kranks neighborhood what they deserve.

Deck the Halls is definitely Worse.

This movie was not good by any means. But Christmas with the Kranks was beyond awful. You couldn't pay me to sit through it again.

Initially I would say Deck the Halls is worse because Matthew Broderick says Madison is not allowed to date, as if something personal like that is any of his business. So at first I would say that Deck the Halls is worse but it does gain points when Madison dates anyway, she goes out with this sailor on leave for one night whether Matthew Broderick wants her to or not. So it does gain points in that regard however I still would not say its a terrific movie and its perhaps equal with the Kranks because of Madison going out with the sailor. It would've been better, however, it would've been an oscar winner, if Madison had not only gone out with a sailor in the Navy but if she had gone out with a Navy SEAL and if she had thrown it in her dad's face that she was dating and that it was her choice not his and that it was her business not his, and then the Navy SEAL could beat the heck out of Matthew Broderick's character, that would make it an awesome movie, and no doubt it would be tops at the box office.

This has an edge over "Christmas with the Kranks" simply because of Kristin Chenoweth's cleavage early on.

Deck The Halls.

Christmas With The Kranks is a good film. Deck The Halls isn't. It's a mismatch.
