Im watching it right now and think its good! Its a traditional fun christmas movie, nothing more, nothing less, why such a low rating ?

Exactly. Broderick was kind of lame and it was corny at times but it was a great little family film. I liked it and defintley will watch it again next year along with; Bad Santa and A Christmas Story.

welcome to imdb. I have been on many boards all over this site and you can find many threads about people hate movies of all kinds for all kinds of reasons. Obviously this is a movie that has hit a nerve with some people and me and others have decided to express ourselves as to why. However there are trolls that will spend as much time as possible on one board and put up post after post on the same board and flood it with garbage. If you notice even though I disagree with you I respect your opinion on this film. I dont see that many people on the boards of this site most of the time.

well you can report people of they flood a board with the same post and if enough people report the same person for the same reason sometimes the imdb mods will delete the post but not always. also there are a lot of immature people on these boards and imdb has like over 10,000 message boards and nowhere near the staff to manage all of them. I will go on a board and say why I like a film and get flamed by someone acting like 8 year old having a tantrum while I only want to have a civil discussion. I dont like it either but that is a problem that this site has

I have seen this movie a few times and I watched it earlier tonight on FX. It's not a great movie but it's not horrible either. This movie has some laughs and I think Danny DeVito and Kristin Chenoweth did their best in this movie. Matthew Broderick's character was pretty lame.

It wasn't funny. The plot wasn't noteworthy, so it had to be funny (particularly with the actors at its disposal) and it wasn't bar the "who's your daddy" scene.
I felt embarrassed when the twin daughters appeared. They were obviously meant to be oh so hilarious but they failed to hit the mark for me.
It's a one-joke movie. I just got tired of the rivalry, And there was nothing else about it.
