I had no other way of seeing this movie and I'm really glad I got it.
Kevin Durand's performance is stellar and well worth it. He earned his stripes on projects like this - he is big budget material now for good reason. As for Ione Sky, I'm sure she has fans due to her cuteness, but she doesn't carry this thing. It's all about the kidnapper and his scenes with the girl - who also does a good job, better than the other supporting actors.

It's very much a TV movie and peppered with Lifetime's unpleasant and forcible gender messages but it has its good moments, too. More suspect are the direction and photography, with distracting use of B&W and way too many close shots. (Real life Durand is taller than a horse and very intimidating - but you'd never know it from these angles.)

The flashback scenes are overused but typical of a movie like this. It's Lifetime... Ya gotta go in with some expectations already forgiven. The script is good in places, very predictable or cliche in others. But overall, not a bad movie, and the story did go somewhere interesting.

I'd give it a 6/10 on its own, but a 10/10 for Durandys who will LOVE his performance and how many scenes he has!
