Sequel idea: '78-'79 season

How about bringing back the principal actors for a sequel on the 1978/1979 season? I'd have Art LaFleur play manager Bob Lemon. After the Yankees win the World Series in '78, they struggle in '79 and Lemon is fired. Lemon is replaced by Billy Martin. Weeks later, Thurman Munson dies in a plane crash. I'd have the movie end with Billy being introduced as the new manager of the Oakland Athletics for 1980 and Dick Howser taking over the Yankees the same year.

...and skipped the Son of Sam stuff, which had nothing to do with the Yankees.

Yeah, but it wasn't just a baseball movie. It was about the 1977 Yankees and "The Son Of Sam" was a huge story at the time in New York City. I thought it was neat how they tied the two stories together although I think they could have ended the "Son Of Sam" story better.

If anything, I'm convinced that Dan Lauria should be cast on "Law & Order." He's a great actor.
