Art in Geddes apartment?

Did anyone else notice the artworks in Geddes apartment? I wondered whether they had some kind of symbolical meaning. One of the paintings seemed to have all kinds of demons on it, whereas Geddes was, or used to be, a religious man, which I thought was quite remarkable. Then, on second thought, I realized how much life had made Geddes lose his faith.

The larger painting is The Great Red Dragon and the Beast from the Sea, by William Blake. It is based on the biblical book of Revelations, when men become beasts. The smaller painting which gets splattered with blood when Headless is shot is also by Blake, called Christ in the Sepulchre Guarded by Angels.

Thanks a lot for the information, that's really interesting.

You're welcome. It was a great drama, multi-layered; I could never tire of watching this. A couple of small scenes were deleted from the DVD , such as the viewing of Pollock's body on Salisbury Craggs, and Frank's conversation afterwards with the dark lady of this film noir, Danniella. They should never have underestimated Danni.
I wish the music had been released on CD.

That's too bad, since I couldn't watch it on television, because I live in the Netherlands. I would've loved to see those scenes. I'm so full of admiration for the writing! I wish I could devise a plot like that!
