Feels very old fashioned

I just started watching this show on Amazon and the first thing that jumps out at me is how old fashioned it is. It feels to me like something that would've been made in the 90s even though it is from 2006.

I view that as both a strength and a weakness. I kind of like the lack of digital trickery. Everything you see on screen feels very real and tangible. On the other hand, in some respects more modern filmmaking techniques can lead to a more interesting product.

Just a few other quick observations: The tone feels relatively light, which I have mixed feelings about. And I'm just not sure I'm sold at all on the guy playing Robin Hood.

Probably not a show I'll continue with to the end, but I'm going to watch a few more episodes before I make a judgment call. I kind of like it . . . kind of don't like it.
