Well, Dangit!

My gall loves the legend of Robin Hood. So, I bought this most current version for her a month ago. But then I perhaps made the mistake of going on IMDB. Seems from the posts I've seen, this perhaps a rather bad version of the legend of Robin Hood?

To be honest, yeah,it is a bad version. If she likes Richard Armitages portrayal of Guy,(or has a great crush on Jonas Armstrong- good actor, but NOT a particularly good Robin ) then it might work for her. Otherwise, you would be better off getting her the Disney version.
If she is a big fan of the Robin legend, then get Robin of Sherwood-apart from the 50's version, believe me - this is the best!
It was made in the 80's,the era of the 'sword and sorcery' adventure series.
It was well thought out on every level.
Great writing,great casting,excellent production values.
It has stood the test of time and is still held in high regard 30 years on.
Hope that helps!
