Simple question

If this is such a great movie, why - after close to five years now - has it still yet to be released here in the U.S., even on DVD?

I mean, both Michael Madsen and Vinnie Jones both have all kinds of really stinky cinematic junk that gets released here in the U.S. (even theatrically, on occasion), so why not this film?

If it's won all these awards and (seems to be) the object of such fervor for its (alleged) legions of fans, why can it only secure a cheap-looking DVD release overseas that makes it look like a typical DTV Vinnie Jones slugfest?

Just askin', that's all.

UPDATE: Almost TWO YEARS after posting my original message, and I STILL have yet to get an answer to my simple question, namely, if this is such a great movie, why can't it even wrangle so much as DTV release in this country (US)? Where are all this allegedly great film's passionate defenders? I guess why bother, right?
