She wasn't relatable and she didn't try to help the situation, or escape it, just understand it.

I thought the lead actress did a very credible job, considering she was mostly acting by herself, which isn't very easy to do, she was actually excellent considering the silly script.
An actress, or actor, can only work with the material given to them, many viewers never seem to comprehend that.
Spoiler Alert: One of the most absurd scenes, when she was with the badly wounded cop character (Joey Lawrence) in the bathroom, she had numerous opportunities to actually shoot the psycho in the face through the large hole in the door, instead she kept shooting through the middle of the door. Bad writing.
