Is there somewhere i can watch the original unaired pilot that takes place in L.A. and features Star trek's Colm Meaney in the Gene Hunt role. It's not included in the DVD set and i can't find it online anywhere.

Did you find it yet? I have it somewhere. If I can find it I'll post it on Youtube. It'll probably get pulled quickly though

Thank you so much. I've been looking for this to compare them.

The revised pilot with Harvey Keitel is much better.
Watch it quick though. I've already gotten a couple of international restriction notices from Youtube, it's still up in America though. Apparently it's not the actual show that's being prohibited. The scanner robots are recognizing some song I don't even know in the soundtrack. I got notices that it's been automatically taken down in a few countries.

I'm downloading it now just in case it disappears. :)

Tried a torrent I found, unfortunately it's been stuck at 57% for looks like years.

I got it on torrent backk when it was still airing. It's poor though.

So I just finished it. I'm probably the only person on the planet but I thought this was actually superior to the Keitel one. It was much darker, the acting was better, and not a direct copy of the UK one. I liked how different it was. I also thought the actress playing Annie had better chemistry than Mol did with O'Mara. And Colm Meaney. Much better as a Gene Hunt than Keitel. I did miss Chris & Ray but the big guy with the grey hair was a lot of fun. I would have liked to see how this one would have panned out if they decided to pick up this version as a series
