Films like this are pointless.

Rather than dramatizing actual events, all films like this actually do is fictionalise the story, add characters who didn't even exist in real life and create cheesy dialogue.

Does anyone know of a documentary on this case instead?

I guess ppl think it wouldn't be relatable to a lot of ppl if it was as it actually was. Most ppl have this idea that trans women are decked out in make up, dresses, ruffled dresses and 4 inch stilettos 24/7, so I think that's what they were going for in this film. But the truth is trans women come in all different shapes and sizes just like other women do.

I HEARD in real life Gwen was really more on the tomboyish side and kinda "punk rocker" type girl ~kinda like her sister~ And I heard she was bisexual. But I think they left all that part out. They knew most ppl only want to see a trans girl whose dolled up like a feminine Barbie doll and only into MEN. Which is fake.

I guess. I just find it frustrating that we can't see a film depicting the real story.

I totally agree, it SHOULD have been portrayed as it was, and to show that not all trans girls want to be super fem china dolls.

BUT if it had shown Gwen being into GIRLS and enjoying more tomboyish activities, ppl are gonna be saying, "Hell why doesn't HE just stay a boy if he likes girls?" as if her sexual prefrence is the determine-all.

For myself I'm attracted to girls and usually identify as lesbian ~some guys are hot though I can't deny~ And even though I'm usually more on the fem side ppl will still tell me "If you like girls why do you wanna be one?"! There is so much wrong with that. You might say I'm like your friend who ges upset at everything, but when ppl say stuff like that it's just flat out ignorance.
