Anyone else think Snatcher was a little too evil?

I get it. He's a bad guy so of course he's going to do bad things.

But damn...there were no limits to what he was willing to do to get what he wanted. Threatening a baby's life, locking up a man underground for years, willing to kill two children over a fucking white hat and cheese. I know it was because he wanted power, but still...This guy didn't mess around at all.

I feel like he was maybe a little *too* evil. Anyone else feel the same way?
