What's wrong with you people?

Maybe it's me, but I thought the fight choreography in this film was both beautiful and brutal. Every fight scene was unique. I have not been so impressed with a martial arts movie in terms of visceral action since Fist of Legend and Bruce Lee's films. These films can be described as "bone-breaking", whereas, films like Hero and Crouching Tiger are more visually stunning in a poetic "pretty" way (something like that).

What other martial arts films do would you consider "bone-breaking" violent?

PS- Legend of Drunken Master with Jackie Chan is pretty violent as well.

"Eat, my children, dance and eat!"

I totally agree, we couldn't have asked for more!!
People who complain about Ong Bak 2 must learn the
difference between beautiful and brutal Martial Arts
movies, i love 'em both but prefer Ong Bak 2 type of
bone crushing fighting!!
This was great and brutal!!

Ip Man had some brutal choreography.

You'd feel cocky too if you were full of myself.

i really dont know why people hate on OB2 & 3. it is beyond me. they were all great films.

Maybe i need to re-watch them because i haven't seen them since their respective releases but fack me if i'm not going to buy that Ong Bak trilogy being released soon...

Completely agree with you about Ong Bak 2, thought it was outstanding. Ong Bak 3 on the other hand was a huge letdown. The movie is hardly even about martial arts and the final fight was really weak. In the movie Tien finds inner peace which is fine for people that believe in Buddhism but for everyone else, Tien getting pissed off and beating the hell out of everyone in sight is perfectly adequate.

This film was incredible and I applaud you for noticing it.

Sadly, anything involving fighting in it attracts all the wannabe tough guy losers of society who usually spout stupid angry arguments on youtube videos showing two UFC fighters. You all know the types. They get drunk on the weekend and want to pick a fight with someone they think they can beat. These kind of guys have no style and no appreciation for the finer things in life.

Films like this show a more beautiful side to martial arts action. Yes, the fight scenes are brutal but the choreography and realism are a thing of beauty. It is also nice to have a main character you want to get behind.
