shareyes, i wont give out to much, but my video teacher whoi got me the position in the movie told me it was for the older audience and no its not THAT kind of movie. its about drugs mostly, it wrecks this school teachers life because one of her sons or daughters (wont say which) is about to die from drugs and the bad life style. thats all i will say for now
shareIts just screened at the Vancouver Film Festival and I thought it was great. Very dark - I dont think the average mom & dad will want to watch it as the subject matter is creepy -
Its about three different "Families" a rich one, a middle class one, and a teenage junkie hooker and her family and how they all are affecting and interelating in each others lives.
I really thought the acting was exceptional and the story pretty cool. It was realistic in that it didnt glorify any of the character's lives. No one is a hero and every character has a problematic "Nice Side" so its hard to single out one person as evil. Neither is every person totally "Good".
It was not a cheerful movie though - so dont take someone on a first date to it.
I might actually go again, and I dont see movies twice.
