I live in Mount Pleasant

The real one, in East Vancouver. I have yet to see a used needle anywhere. What I do see is the city's best neighbourhood, a hub for up-and-coming artists and designers, with cool shops and boutiques and the best coffee west of Commercial Drive. My wife and I are raising our young son here with no more fear for his safety than we would have anywhere else.

I don't know what fictional "Mount Pleasant" this film is supposed to take place in, but it sure as hell isn't the one I live in.

I went to school at Central Michigan University, which I consider to be located in "the real one" - Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. According to a quick Wikipedia search, there are over 40 Mt. Pleasants worldwide.

As someone who's also lived in Mount Pleasant's Northern area close to 2nd and Main, I have seen numerous homeless people and junkies shooting up in alleys at night on several occasions, so please don't pretend that this movie's plot is completely inaccurate.

That being said, I loved living in the area and felt safe enough during my time there.
