I don't understand...
the originial book series was perfectly poignant and dramatic. Yes, I understand having to cut some things for time constraints but this movie had nothing to do with any of the books!

I hope someday someone actually makes a movie based on the books, not just a few names of characters. I was deeply dissappointed that this didn't happnen with this Hallmark series.
shareI agree. You have no idea how long I waited to see the books made into movies (okay, about 15 years). I was so excited to finally see them being made. And then they went and butchered them. I am very upset.
It's not like they didn't have the books to follow for a guide. I know they can't make them exactly identical, but they could be a little bit close. I mean the newest one has absolutely no link to the book. My mom says all they did was slap a famous name (Janette Oke) on their own idea. What I really don't understand though is why she's letting them do it?
I can understand your disappointment that these movies did not exactly follow the books (not many movies do). However, I found the stories to be good, and have spent the whole afternoon watching them.
Now I want to read the books.. so some good came of it.
