I hated the way the film conveyed 'letting go'

It's like, if someone you love dies, just let 'em go and find another "asset" to your life. I'm not panning the prospect of someone finding love once more, but the way this film portrayed it was absolutely disgusting. She's right there, and you're saying "Well, you're no longer here anymore, so I'll do with her. Bye-bye!". I'm finding it difficult to put this in words, but I'm sure some of you feel the same way and know exactly what I mean.

I felt the exact same way. It's like he didn't even give a *beep* about Kate being right there. I mean, I wish there was some kind of proper good bye given. I know it's no "Ghost" but hey, they were able to portray "letting go" in a good way...also in "P.S. I love you."

I know he was sad for a long time but I would still put the person I love's feelings in to consideration knowing their right there and not have my tongue down their throat. I know he couldn't see it but just the thought of them being right there and doing that ugh.

do IMDB people have nothin better to do? =P

most movies with this theme have this same problem. the movie 'always'

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096794/combined

is the only one that got it right.
