Mickey Mouse the Dictator and your undisputed RULER!

I, like so many of you, do not like this show. I feel as though I am being lobotomized as I am forced to watch it because my 3 little nephews love it. Earlier today before work I noticed a theme that several of you are picking up on too. MICKEY IS A DICTATOR! Everything there is styled to look like him and everyone of the characters bow down to him. Everyone except Pete the Cat who is the bad guy in almost every episode. He is bad because Mickey says he is! haha Then Pete is reminded at the end why he has to do as he's told and he is rewarded. Seems like the doctrine for Disney as a whole these days, doesn't it? That automated helper, Toodles, was once a voiceless slave of Mickey's and then they decided to give it a personality and make it another character that lives to serve Mickey and his mindless agenda. It even gets butt hurt when it cant give him a "mouse-kah-tool." Really? Even the word 'tool' has to have the word "mouse" added to it? As I'm watching this I feel as though I'm being inducted into some sort of cult.

I grew up in the 80's and 90's and I LOVED the Disney afternoon shows in the 90's. Ducktale's, Gargoyles, Darkwing Duck, Talespin, Chip N' Dale's Rescue Rangers etc. They were great shows and even now I can hear the theme song for the Gummi Bears in my damn head. Yes these older shows, like Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry, were kind of violent but they were truthful and basic. Sometimes you just gotta smash a hammer over your friends head to knock the stupid outta him. Right? :) These shows are so PC and watered down now I feel like these kids are being programmed to be like everyone else and to do what they're told or else. Its a sad shame...
