As a fan of Michael Fassbender should I watch this?

Who the hell is fassbender?

Nah - it's a so-so flick with unlikeable characters(and not even in a compelling TSN way) and he looks odd in the introduction scene.
Too melodramatic and gets stuck in a narrative jam. Lovely costumes and sets, though but eye candy isn't enough.

movie is a melodrama and is mediocre. you keep on waiting for everything to hit the fan (you don't have to wait long). Fassbender is extreamly memorable and steals every scene he's in.

If you're a fan of the melodrama genre then it's one of those so bad it's good type movies. I was shouting at the screen! DEAR GOD MICHAEL WTF IS HAPPENING! Overall, it's interesting to see what he does with the role especially given how he has to portray emotions to the audience without them seeing the film from his side. As for his ass. It's a lovely bum but for the three seconds it's in the film you might as well google it if that's what your in it for. If you're a hardcore fan of his with a tolerance for melodrama then go for it. He's one of the most complex characters in the film (really wish it was from his perspective but then it would be nothing like the director intended)

I really loved this film and saw it several times in cinema.
Nothing wrong with "melodramatic".
I just saw that 29 out of 40 viewers of my review found it "useful". That's nice.
