A little gem of a film

I just watched this film and have to say this is a good film and Mr. Harrelson's best performance yet. Watching this I was yearning for better American Adult Drama's that don't come candy wrapped with no talent and gifted director's with mediocre scripts. This is a very interesting little film which sad to say many will not get a chance to see, with it's witty and cutting dialog from one of the best screen writers out there. It is no Taxi Driver or Light Sleeper but it does show DC's underbelly of political and private goings on and great performances by all. Watch Mr. Harrellson's face as he reaches for Ms. Thomas's hand in a very telling moment in the film...It is a great scene. Lauren Bacall and Lilly Tomlin are not wasted in smaller but pivotal roles. Bravo to Isle of Man films for funding this little gem.

One of the ten worst that I had the displeasure to view. I saw it coming back from Ireland. Could not stop watching it to see if it ended as bad as it started.

I agree with you, THE WALKER is an outstanding example of American adult drama and, yes, it is one of Woody Harrelson's best efforts, but I take exception to your statement that this movie is no TAXI DRIVER or LIGHT SLEEPER. I'm not even sure how one goes about comparing one excellent film with another excellent film. Why bother? THE WALKER is simply what it is, an excellent movie, superbly acted, very well written, and directed with great skill.

I like to see The Walker as more of a character study, it was intriguing to see Carter's complexities in his dealings with others.

I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I am not.
