The narration is English, as well as some of the dialogue, but a lot is in another language. At least I think. It could be very fast spoken English that's incomprehensible because of the heavy accents, but I'll be danged if I could understand maybe 40% of what was being said. What's up with that? Anyone have the same issue?

There is supposed to be subtitles, especially if you saw it in a cinema or a television broadcast. If you own a dvd copy (not featuring subtitles) I'd take it up with the distribution company. If you downloaded it from the internet, well, try another avenue. It's too good a movie to give up on account of missing some dialogue.
The worst thing that there is no subtitle for the english with african accent.

The language seems to be a mixture of English, Dutch (or Afrikaans, which itself is derived from Dutch) and black African language(s). I could pick several Dutch words and several English words but I couldn't understand most of the dialogue. Luckily subtitles fix a problem like that ;-)
shareYeah I found myself not catching some dialogue here and there but it wasn't enough to take anything away from the movie for me. Still enjoyed it quite a lot.

They mix English and Afrikaans in their language so yeah if the subtitles weren't on it I would have definite troubles understanding those parts lol... Put the subtitles on next time lol
