reply

touche, DUDE!

reply

do you know what touche means?

reply

roughly, "agreed", which is what he was doing with the 1st poster's comment.

reply

The guy who used touche wrong is a freaking idiot.

The OP is not much better either.

reply

I guess everyone is in agreeance.

reply

I can't wait to see it...i LOVE Fred!! I think he did a great job directing the music videos..I think this movie will be awesome!!

reply

Agreeance isn't a word.

reply

Actually it is a word and he used it correctly. It is funny because he has made all the people criticizing him, like you guys, look stupid. Like him or hate him, he was right all along. If you don't believe me, read these articles:

http://www.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/03/10/showbuzz/index.html

http://www.nbc4.tv/irresistible/2026121/detail.html

reply

well no, he wasn't really right man. agreeance is a dead word. so unless fred was saying O YE WHOETH IN AGREEANCE MAKETH THY PLEA FORTHWITH (translation: if y'all feel me, let me hear ya scream! word up im fred durst) he was speaking part of DEAD english. he slipped up and due to a technicality thinks he can rub it in everyone's faces. the damage is still done, his career is over regardless. the guy gets booed offstage, and threatens to fight the whole crowd.

i saw fred durst wearing a morrissey tee shirt. i feel anger.

then i heard his 'behind blue eyes' cover. i feel hate.

this man is a joke. laughter.

and we're all in agreeance.

reply

Wow! People actually wrote articles on his use of a word. How bout giving props to the msg, instead they focus on trying to rip him for use of a word. I guess u know your something when people write articles about one word u say.

reply

My God, am i the only one consistently pissed off by the incorrect use of the word "your"?
It's "you're" goddammit!

What the *beep*!

reply

ass hole is

[deleted]

KORNkid0365, do you know what a "run-on sentence" is?

reply

Put down the crackpipe! It's not too late!

reply

I'm not in agreeance, because it's not a word. Also, I couldn't care less about Durst. I will see this movie because of Chris Marquette.

reply

[deleted]

Agreeance is a word, it's just not used as often as others. Boy did a lot of stupid losers get egg on their face for mocking Fred for using it.

reply

EXACTLY!

reply

YEAH MAN FRED DURST! HAHAHAHA

reply

He is a very talented musician. A lot of people write him off after only hearing one song like 'Rollin', which is one of Limp Bizkit's weaker songs anyway.

Does anyone know if this movie is going to be released in the UK?
Because I would really love to see it if I possibly can.

reply

No word on any release dates just yet. All we know at this point is that it will show at the Tribeca Film Festival in NYC next month.

reply

One Word:

WHACK!

squalid_razor has outstanding warrants from both Dream and Karma Police.

reply

Have you seen it?

reply

yeah and it sucked.

reply

So why don't you write a brief synopsis of it and tell us what was wrong with it? I'm sure everyone would be very interested in learning more about the movie, even from someone who's not impressed. How'd you see it? Are they test-screening it?

reply

They screened it for my class. One word "choppy". Okay, one more "amateur". Okay just one more "unrelentingly unfunny"... I gave you an extra word there. You're welcome. You will all be dissapointed if you are expecting something that resembles a movie you would see in a theatre. Lower your expectations and you may not take your own lives.

reply

LOL! Can't be all that bad. I think I'll reserve judgment till I actually see it. Or maybe wait till the professionals review it after it debuts at The Tribeca Film Festival next month. The selection committee must've seen something in it that they liked.

reply

They saw Fred Durst's name and a way to sale tickets. Film festivals don't always show quality pics sometimes they just want to get butts in the seats. Everytime Jennifer Anniston sh*ts out an indie Sundance picks it up. Durst shat this one out and Tribeca picked it up. Just don't expect much. You'll be dissapointed even if you are a big Durst fan.

reply

I don't give a rat's ass about Durst. It's all about the cast. And I've seen plenty of lousy movies in my day. I'm sure it's not gonna make me wanna kill myself as you so cheerfully predicted.

reply

I think the film is really moving. I think it will take a lot of Durst fans off guard, because it sure ain't rock n roll. It's more like Squid and the Whale in tone and tempo. It's an intelligent film. It's an emotional film that is tense at times, tender at other times. Tender... Durst? Yes, tender. So I imagine some Durst fans will be very surprised indeed. But I really hope the film is recognized for the small gem that it is.

reply

Yeah, Fredo, maybe the other guy didn't like it because it wasn't rock & roll. Where'd you see it? Have you written up a review for it? I'd love to know more. Anything else you can tell us?

reply

The film makers asked to use a piece of music of mine in the film so let me see an advance copy of it without the John Swihart score.

reply

Cool. :-)

reply

No screening done yet..So what are you talking about....

reply

Why do you say that? Are you "someone" in the know? Two different people have posted here in the last week or so saying that they saw it at a test screening. Are they lying?

reply

Yea, man! Nothing beats the sound of cliche lyrics that appeal to 12 year olds who are trying to prove their individuality by conforming to non-conformists! Please Fred, write more songs about getting nookie! Don't forget to put your image ABOVE your music as your music is just hackneyed corporate rock meant to sell records to the masses in lieu of being creative and spreading a meaningful message or idea!

reply

WTF has your little tirade got to do with this movie? Isn't there a music message board you can sound off on?

I don't give a crap about Durst, but it looks like he is proving his critics very wrong.

What we're talking about here is a movie that just won an award at the Tribeca Film Festival last weekend and screened there two more times than it was scheduled for because word of mouth was so great.

Why don't YOU grow up?

reply

[deleted]

Dayum, hater much? People are supposed to listen to YOU just because you obviously loathe the guy. Um, yeah, right.

reply

Wow, people really hate Fred Durst, huh? I'm a child of the 90's and I liked Limp Bizkit when their 1st record came out. My music tastes have changed since then, but I can still pop in 3 Dollar Bill and take out some aggression. As for his directing expertise, apparently a few of you know him personally? To say he has NO experience is a little premature, and to say music videos he's directed don't count as directing experience? I didn't realize there were rules to what 'counts' as direction - but I guess when dealing with a bunch of haters you gotta be prepared to play by their rules, because they sure as hell aren't playing by reality's.

I'll check this movie out, out of sheer curiosity - Durst has struck me as a guy who may have something substantial to say, but his musical/media-depicted persona has you sheep believing the guy isn't capable of more than 'Rollin' (which may be true - what he does post-Bizkit will determine that).

See the TURTLE, ain't he keen? All things serve the fuc*kin Beam!

reply

He sucks. He may have an ok directing career. Musically he was a virus. He destroyed the radio, creating what we have today. The musicians in LP were fantastic, but Fred was a douche bag. Begging wes to get back in the band? Come on. He's a knob.

What the hell? I didn't read all of the pages, but in case no-one mentioned it yet, "Touche" means "you got me there". As in
A:"You smell bad"
B:"Well, your mom smells bad"
A:"Touche!"

Thank you.

Fred Durst really is terrible. I was surprised when I saw the trailer for this film, I might see it when it comes out on DVD, but because of Durst's absolutely horrible musical project, I'm very skeptical as to how his film career is going to turn out.

reply

I guess I don't really understand why people keep assuming that Fred Durst must be a terrible director just because they don't like him as a musician. I imagine directing a movie is completely different from being the lead singer of a band.

Now, of course it might be that Fred directed some of Limp Bizkit's music videos that you thought were terrible. I wouldn't know because I don't like Limp Bizkit either. I, however, would like to give Fred the benefit of the doubt as to his film directing debut. Keep an open mind, people!

He directed music videos for other bands too. Whatever. Who cares? I was never a Bizkit fan, but do love the hell out of the unedited Break Stuff video when I need to vent a little rage. Heh.

I was never a Limp Bizkit fan, but I saw the movie at Tribeca, and it was surprisingly good, which I totally didn't expect.

Not that I had a lot of expectations other than "I wonder if this will be some super agressive movie with a lot of music I won't enjoy." Which it wasn't. It was a remarkably good movie. Really terrific story, amazing use of color, etc.

I guess his music reflects one side of his personality, and his filmmaking, a totally different one.

Of course, liking his movie still doesn't make me a Limp Bizkit fan. Not by a long shot! :)
