Mike & Booger show(8/26/16)

Greeny was celebrating his 20th year anniversary on the air at ESPN. Golic did not show up so they had Booger McFarland stand in for him as they are basically the same person. Anyway, Greeny says his one regret is that he did not become general manager of a baseball team. I am really looking forward to more of the Mike & Mike & Booger show as football finally starts up again.

I know he was bit makes you wonder why he would even want to be a general manger of a baseball team, even since he has no experience really working for any MLB baseball team.

Does he really think that was a legitimate option? I would think a regret would be something that was within your grasp that you let go.

Greeny mentioned Theo Epstein by name as someone who became a general manager without being a player/coach at an advanced level. When Greeny was younger, he thought these jobs were basically reserved for former athletes/coaches, so he never considered it. He also said that being a GM would have made it possible for him to win at a high level in professional sports even though he was a non-athlete.

I know Seinfeld did a bit on his show(which Greeny is huge fan) where one of the characters wanted to become a GM of a baseball team, but I really think he was semi-serious on this topic. Booger did not really needle him on this as I am sure Golic would have done.
