The admissions and accountability show(7/14/16)

Mike and Mike brought on Jemele Hill today to talk about the Obama's upcoming town hall meeting that is on ABC and ESPN. Jemele Hill, who seems to talk about race, political, or social issues 90% of the time, talks vaguely about how the country needs more accountability and admissions of problems, which Jemele, of course, implies results from racism. This is Jemele's favorite topic and this segment seems to drag on forever. After she is finally done, Greeny says he "admires and loves Jemele" and Golic does too. Jemele Hill has never done anything but be a sports journalist and be very annoying. That's it. If she feels so strongly about these issues, she should get in another line of work perhaps in politics, community organizer, or as a social worker where she could pursue her true passion.

One does not have to be in politics, community organizing or social work to be passionate about social justice. That's a ridiculous attitude. Just because people are employed in the sports world does not mean they check their humanity by the door. Our country remains in crisis; we do need more accountability by the government and the conglomerates who control them. There is plenty of room at ESPN for Jemele Hill. I enjoy her work. She must be doing something right, as she and Michael Smith were just promoted to anchoring Sports Center during certain hours.

Well, that's your opinion. Some people do tune into sports programming as it is a diversion from their own or the worlds problem and really don't want someone like Jemele Hill shoving them back into their face. Last I checked ESPN ratings are still in a steady decline, so I would not read too much into her so called "promotion".
