Stopped watching it after 45 minutes

Barely made it there. Nothing happens. No interesting characters. Nothing to see. No reason to continue watching.

7.8/10... seriously? You mean 0.78/10?

reply

45 minutes in you haven't even gotten into the crux of the movie. I thought you were going to tell me you stopped because how aggravating it got with the turn of events...but nothing interesting? Character development and chemistry all over the place.

the truth hurts...sorry it's true

I agree. I remember good films for decades. This, I forgot a week after I saw it.

reply

One week is still better than a lot of films which are forgotten as you leave the theater. Which ones have you remembered for decades?

reply

As you leave the theater? Seriously? I've seen a lot of films and I've always remembered them at least for one day :)) But most of them for a few days. And I know that I'll remember how heartbreaking Atonement was and I'll remember it for a very long time.

I have no words...so just enjoy over 2000 videos http://www.youtube.com/user/yinloveyang

You don't know sh!t, Jon Snow!

And some people remember every scene of this movie to this day after having watched it only once or twice while some of what you may consider as good fade from their memory day by day. Everyone wants their taste to be the standard of what is 'good'. Sometimes people don't get what they want.

The first 50 minutes are the best part! It was absolutely riveting, masterful even, during the first hour.

Helluva movie.

It is true that the early part of the film is the least interesting to watch. Before the key developments arise, it has a Gosford Park feel to it- stifling and slow. But in the end, this is a film you have to watch in its entirety. It demands respect.

reply

Wow, that is the complete opposite of my experience. I was forced into watching it because of someone else. I had no interest in it, it just seemed like one of those boring Merchant Ivory productions, but within the first 30 minutes, so many crazy things happened that I got hooked. I now own the movie, and when I watch it, I watch only the first 30 minutes and then turn it off.

I wonder what your threshold for "interesting" is...I don't suppose it's the kind of thing that can only be satisfied by Michael Bay is it..?
