In the teaser it said a release date: "August 2006". Then it became October 6th or 12th (I don't remember well), then it turned into November the 1st, and then November 17th, then November 24th, then December the 1st, and now is December the 15th. Four months of delay!!!
I heard about this movie in April 2005 in a radio show, where they said it was in pre-production but the script was already completed. It was shot in October 2005-February 2006 and was completed by the time of July (I think). I want to ask, what's the *beep* problem with the distributor company????!!!!
The film was delayed to december 15th because of the commercial expectative to be created, so it was moved four months to put it in the best season according to a USD1.000.000 film, which is one of the highest budgest you could see here, cause we´re just rising a film industry in our country.
As you perhaps know, The Pirates of the Caribbean: the dead man´s chest, was posposed from may to august in Colombia and from may to july, internationally.
Sometimes you must allocate your film in a better season, so then you decide to pospose it.
Aditionally, some dates were announced by press, not officialy by the producer company.
Anyway, there is no problem with distribution; you could see the trailer in the theaters in Colombia now and you´re going to start watching advertising the next week.
