In order to avoid ruining the end of the movie to other future espectators, I just could tell you that is explained at the end of the film, when Vega is creeping to her bed and then remember some words from her wierd neighbour: "...when you predict something that will occur in your future...it is said that women can do it from time to time"

she's seeing herself in the future, being hurt by the neighbor girl.
