I have no clue about the svu peeps. I just have been waiting for Ice-T to make a comeback I loved New Jack City and also Trespass. A slept on movie was Hoodrats and I liked him in it.

reply

yeah i was noticing that too.

It's not really a comeback if he's been one of the leads in SVU for the past six or seven years, though, surely?

reply

Yeah, I was kinda confused about half the svu cast being there, too.
It seems kind of strange, but yeah. It'll be interesting to see how this turns out.

Matthew D. Panepinto, a production assistant on SVU, is listed as the star, writer, and director of this flick. Did he hire half the SVU cast to work over the weekend and shoot a movie between episodes? That's the sort of thing Roger Corman would have done, but it's hard to imagine that it would work with a bunch of high-paid TV actors. I suspect instead they did it largely as a favor to Panepinto. If the movie was shot on location in Greece, then maybe they all treated it as sort of a fringe benefit to working on the show - a paid vacation in the Mediterranean, to shoot one more show with a different theme.

I notice they are in his prior films too. They must get along well and are trying to help him out as a filmmaker.
