shareThanks. I was working on a photo shoot on Sunday for a band and one the covers they played for us started with a riff that sounded like the one from Atmosphere, the guitar that starts playing at the 1:26 minute mark.
It took me a while to remember where I had heard the similar riff and finally recalled it was from The Signal.
The Joy Division version is pretty legendary in post-punk/new wave rock. Wouldn't be surprised if the band borrowed the lick :) Could be coincidence of course as well.

I watched the original, with Leave as the song, the firs time i saw the movie, the second time i saw it was with friends after i had generated a bit of hype but it was a different version with another song.
Atmosphere aparently.
It totally ruined the movie for me because so much of the emotion between the two leads were tied to that song. Patent Pending by Heavens is still one of my all time favorite albums.
It's almost 2016 and I'm still looking for the original Sundance version of this film with the good song in it ;(
