A message to film students...

This movie had that feel of "let's see how ridiculous and bizzare we can make this movie because that will show people how cool and original we are".

Well, unfortunately just because something is unconventional that doesn't mean it's good. This movie, for example was "unconventional" and it "broke the rules" and it was terrible.

As a basic rule movies need:
1) A plot that is more or less coherent
2) Characters that are developed and can be empathized with

This had neither.

2/10

Didn't quite get it, did you? That's precious.

I got it and liked it a lot. It seemed more like an experiment
than a film. I would like to get it on BluRay.

Marvel VS. Capcom 2 is coming out soon for the PS3. There is a God.

I got this on blu-ray as a blind buy. I heard very mixed things, so I was apprehensive. I loved it, so much more than I ever would have imagined. The plot isn't overly coherent, but I would say that is intentional. All of the characters are crazy. They make us feel a little crazy too. I also love the middle act because it is so out of nowhere and hysterical. The characters themselves were great. Once again I enjoyed them the most during act 2. Clark was very sympathetic throughout, but Lewis was so much fun to watch in act 2, despite him being the bad guy.

I am a film student, well not anymore as I graduated Sunday, but I think this is a very original take on the horror film.

Rules? Really?

And why do you HAVE to empathize with characters? And coherence is subjective. What's incoherent to you may not be to another.

ugh....rules.

We've met before, haven't we?

Why don't you go study film yourself.
