Seriously, my only complaint with this series is that while they do portray the Don and Tim characters as thoroughly and believably loving, playful, devoted, and affectionate with one another, they don't show us nearly enough of the passionate side of their relationship. We know it's there, and maybe the writers and director think it would be overstating the obvious. But Spence and Allen have so much chemistry together, I'd love to see more intimate moments like the love scene in Third Man Out between the two of them.
I was disappointed when I watched this film on Diva network (seems to be affiliated with IFC Canada and/or Showcase) that the penis AND THE BUTT were blurred out, despite the lengthy "mature content" warning at the end of each commercial break. I can't tell you how ridiculous a blurred out butt looks. This is on a channel you have to specifically order, and which promotes itself as showing movies uncut in their original or extended form (although with commercial breaks). And it's in Canada, where I grew up getting essentially free soft-core porn off the late night airwaves on regular rabbit-ear TV. So who, exactly, are they protecting? I don't think I've ever seen them do this on Diva before, for anything. Anyway, I was able to see the missing parts in a different venue that doesn't censor, but this has caused me to reconsider my subscription.
