I watched this last night on Scifi too. It was actually pretty good. I liked it better than Pumpkinhead 2 in some ways. Pumpkinhead looked really cool too.

R.I.P. Uncle Steve

Same here.It was alot better than expected and Lance was great.

I thought it was okay. The plot was aright. It was great to see Doug Bradley playing the evil doctor.Lance Henricksen too.The Pumpkinhead monster looks as good as ever.Haggis the witch was creepy.I liked the continuity it had with the first movie, and wisley ignored the 2nd one.

What bothered me the most was the Photography. It did not match
the first one and made it look cheap. With the exception of
a few most of the characters were just total cliches.Pumkinhead
was one step away from being just another generic monster.
They should have had it reacting more to different things.

Is this the sequel fans waited over a decade to see any good.Yes and no.

But if I was going to bring well-loved monster out of the mothballs for another sequel it would have been much better than Pumkinhead: ashes to ashes
was.

5.5 out of 10.

Some people never go crazy. What truly horrible lives they must lead.

I loved it. Pumpkinhead didn't move like a retard like in Blood Wings. He was really badass.

I wasn't sure that Pummpkinhead III was going to be good because of the fact it was going to be on the sci fi channel. But I was really surprized on just how much I liked the movie. After all the second one just sucked. I even liked the new look they gave Pumpkinhead. I was happy that the movie picks up a few years after the first one and that they decided to act as if the second one didn't even happen. This in my mind is the true sequel to Pumpkinhead. I was very happy to see Lance in the movie. Him and Doug did a great job too. the rest of the cast was ok. I hope that Pumpkinhead IV is even better then part III. Not that I didn't like Pumpkinhead III: Ashes to Ashes. I hate the fact that I have to wait a year for part IV. I just hope that it was worth the wait like this one was.

I agree with all of this - I was hoping for similar shots like the one showing Haggis from behind, and the spotlight in front of her exposing a silhouette of her ugly head (that spider hair of hers was creepy) as from the first movie.

The one negative was the cheesy CGI where Pumpkinhead jumps down from the window into the church.

I watched this movie at 1:00 am with all the lights off except for the Halloween lights - it added to the mood.

The director did a great job.

I'm watching this tonight, but from what I've read I'm somewhat looking forward. The director has a decent track record before this, having made the really cool Braindead/Dead Alive-esque "Evil Aliens" (should be on DVD soon). Check out Evil Aliens, it kicks an unholy amount of a**.

Just saw it and thought it was great. Stayed true to the Pumpkinhead Mythos and had some cool setpieces.

I enjoyed it except for three things:

The crappy CGI

Less atmosphere than the original

The fact that they made Bunt Wallace a complete retard, rather than the not-to-bright but brave person he was in the original.

reply

Thought it was cool too.

I was like Oh Hell No not on Sci Fi! Thought SciFi ruined Battlestar Galactica so far I am concerned this new Galactica is so primitive Earth could beat with the firing of their missles! But Congradulations Sci Fi you did one HELL of job with Pumpkinhead 3 cant wait for 4!

reply

Just saw Part 4, no where near as good as Ashes to Ashes, more like bloodwings!
