pumpkinhead creature designs

is it just me or did the creature design in this one kinda...i dunno...suck? it was just different...more hokey...less threatening, i dunno what it was...but when they had the flashbacks to the first one you could clearly see how cool that one was in relation to this installment's goofy creature. i think the had was too wide, not lean enough, and the arms WAY too short...the original was very lean and lanky...less human in suit looking...even the blood wings version was better

I know what you mean. The original design was far more impressive.
Not to defend the changes in the creature design, but I was thinking that maybe Pumpkinhead could be similar to the Aliens. Since an alien takes on characteristics of its host, maybe Pumpkinhead takes on characteristics of the person it is created from. Maybe the Pumpkinhead in the first movie was from someone much smaller than Ed Harley, maybe even a child or very young person. The Ed Harley Pumpkinhead was bigger than the one in the first movie. This is only a theory, and may be proven in Love Hurts (aka: Blood Feud) since the next Pumpkinhead will be created from a woman.

Either way, I just hope the next movie is a little better than this one, and they get an actor who can act in the suit.
Also lose the CGI.

They ****ing CGI'd Pumpkinghead! Thats you're problem right there.

yea, thats true, but even the "real" creature looked bargain bin

it looks pretty good in blood feud but they did chang the shoulder bones. and i think it was just as big in the first. tom woodruf jr. is about 6 feet i think and he had around 2 foot stilts so he was over 7 feet.

I think Pumpkinhead looks a little too much like the creature from "Alien" here. I appreciate the fact that we see a lot more of him here than in the original, but I much preferred the first one, which didn't rely on CGI.

Some of the scenes of Pumpkinhead in this were god awful especially when he's climbing the church and when he jumps out the church window, he looked better in the 2nd and even in most scenes then you can tell it's a rubber suit but it beats the terrible cgi in this.

this movie was a ok slasher but the cgi shots hurt it the actual suit though i thought was fine but im actually going to take this film an do a fan cut an remove most of the cgi shots except the ones i have to keep an see how much the film improves
