In the most recent storyline, "Endgame" Count Vile gets a new general named Skarthkaroth (a parody of sephiroth) when he attacks the resistance base, there are parodies of various video game characters. Among them are parodies of Solid Snake (metal Gear) and the Prince of All Cosmos (Katamari Damacy) Alien Hominid actually appears as well as himself. So don't worry there will be jokes from newer games as well, I believe.
