Okay, first off, its not like everyone in the world makes movies for you jackarse. I am 21 years old and this movie sounds awesome. If you think that youre fragile little brain just wont quite comprehend the movie, then dont go see it. Is it really anyones fault youre a younge punk who didnt play video games back then? May be you should throw a fit to youre mommy for not spreading her legs earlier in life!!!!

reply

wow i feel sooo intimidated for a 21 year old to be taunting someone whos 6 years younger over the internet, why dont you grow some balls and say that to my face, and for a 21 year old to have the mentality to use 5 year old "mommy" insults... get a life. i was just saying newer gen folk might not be able to familiarise with these characters, while probably all of the gaming gen have heard of c-s, mgs, ff and wow. they could at least have a couple cameos from newer games.

p.s go to another forum if you want to "flame"

'Say it to my face'... Ah, that's why I love the internet. "Hey man! I'm like 9 foot tall and I have 3 giant arms and I'll rip you to pieces!"

That's why I hate gamers like you. The new batch of gamers who grew up on Xbox Live, Halo and CoD. I salute you for playing Ratchet and Clank, but you lost all respect when you proved your age.

The Cartoon on their website parodys things from pac man to katamari damacy (timewise) There is a Solid Snake Character in the resistance, but he's more of a cameo. Heck Even Alien Hominid exists in the movie world. The thing is they can't really have hundreds of characters because of the budget, but if the cartoons are any example, then they will have jokes about games from all eras.

flop? perhaps. Hilariously bad? Definitely. If that's the case, it'll be a good movie.

ARES!!!!!!
lol a God of War spoof would be good

If the revolution won't be televised I'll probably miss it.

It's not simply a parody, it's freakin' hilarious comedy. Trust me, these guys are great.

yea, it's a bit old school but hardly a flop. The term flop refers to a movie losing money, and well... this one didn't cost any. But you are right in that it could've been more successful (atleast to some degree) by using more recent characters. The younger crowd is probably less put off by lower budgets and shoddy acting (atleast I know I was) and wouldn't hinder it's popularity as much. Another thought would be that the newer game characters are already rendered in 3d and may not have the same appeal as live action ryu. In other words, master cheif, COD and God of War, Gears of war are all based on somewhat realistic character models. It's no stretch of the imagination to imagine these people in a real world setting, but the puzzles and goofieness of classic games makes their transition to a live setting somewhat more of an excercise in imagineering. Plus spartan suits are friggen expensive and if they were off it'd take away from their recognition. Paperboy is easy, pre-pubesent kid in yellow cap/ blue shirt (I think) chukin papers from a basket on handle bars. I probably over thought that.

What the hell are you talking about?!
newer gen? Who wouldn't recognize Link or Mario, these are Nintendo games that has new releases all the time.
Heck I'm 17 and I "got" all the references. Besides, since theres mild language in the movie, little kids shouldn't watch this, this movie is meant for older teenagers and 80's kids.

reply

Um,no. Adding in new character and conventions would basically tear out the soul of the movie and feed it to a chipmunk. Sorry to hear you're too young to appreciate a good movie, though.

Anyway, considering the budget of this independent, low profile movie...not a flop. The creators were surprised by how well they did.

reply

It cant be that bad when it starts out with a "Paperboy" refrence.
