I hate to admit it but....

I enjoyed this movie. Once the zombies started going crazy it got really funny. Really fun movie too watch.

One question, If the guy hadn't shot that chick at the beginning would anything have happened?

reply

i asked the same thing, him shooting here seemed to "release" the zombie mode, but my opinion is that she would have still been a zombie but it might have taken a bit longer because some of the people who were just bitten became zombies too..(the way its supposed to be)

the way i see it if he hadn't shot her she would still be infected but wouldn't be all crazy. If she was to scratch someone, etc she would still infect them but she wouldn't have just gone around attacking everyone she saw.

I did too. I thought it would be super cheesy but it was really enjoyable and funny.

To answer your question, I don't think anything would've happened because she wasn't dead yet. The people turned when they died.

I thought it was a pretty good "bad" movie.

plane dead aka flight of the living dead I think is one of the best of the 2000s zombie movies!!

I agree, it was enjoyable, and my wife and i debated that too, i think she would not have turned.

Makes a nice double feature with "Snakes on a Plane". It's no "Dawn of the Dead" but a fun zombie pic.

i think it was a great movie also. watched whilst holding a zombie fest playing return of the living dead, flight of the living dead and zombie strippers

i particularly loved the hole in the floor that zombies flew out of, people fell into and just become a total centre piece for half of the movie. the fact 2 teenagers? young adults? kept sneaking off to the toilets to have a kiss!! tiger woods was actually allowed onto the plane with his golf club??!! some funny deaths and people nonchalantly firing guns on a plane

one thing i didn't particularly like was the zombies following the survivors off into the sunset. clearly left open for a sequel but i doubt anyone would commission a sequel. plus the pretty unique looking zombie professor who engineered the virus/chemical never met an exeptional, original demise nor did he become a recurring threat throughout the movie. sometimes the predictable works best.

and yes, i think if the original infected woman was not killed then nothing would have happened.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to put my hand up and admit to enjoying this little gem...
When I saw the title I immediately thought it was going to be a cheesy rip-off, but I must say I'm very pleasantly surprised! There was some definite cheese in here but offset with some moments of sheer tension and some genuine shocks so I can overlook that.

Some great acting too, my personal favourite coming from Kevin.J.OConnor actually; I haven't had a chance to see him in much so it was nice to see him in a different role.

This is definitely going on my top 40 list, I'm glad I took a chance and watched it!

I just got done watching it. Im a zombie fanatic, anything zombie I have to have. Anyway, I think she would have eventually turned, but not sure how long. It was obvious the virus or whatever was attacking her brain, the way she was crying and holding her head. It was another "cheesy zombie flick" as my hubby calls them, but I liked it. Im following it up with Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things, and probably watching Dawn of the Dead 04 after that if my little boys take their nap.

You guys really need to step up and learn your zombie folklore... the woman they were transporting (aka zombie #1) was infected and was about to die (which is why they had her frozen in stasis - to keep her alive long enough to figure out what to do with her) and turn into a zombie like a minute after getting out of her fridge with or without the bullets expediting the process. Similar to how the black stewardess got only a nonlethal flesh wound (bitten), died and turned in about 5 minutes.

i had never heard of it before but i got it with my friend at blockbuster and we LOVED it! should definitely not have been in the "horror" section (comedy would have suited it a LOT more) but we laughed through the entire thing and thought it was great, in a very bad way haha

reply

I think that the woman who ended up being shot would have eventually turned into a zombie anyway as she had the virus and it was affecting her, as she was shot it just speeded up the virus. I thougt the film was very entertaining with the build up for the first half of the film to the action paced scenes for the second half!

If the guard had not shot the reanimated scientist, there would NOT have been a zombie outbreak on that flight.

The scientist would suffer "side-affects" such as frequent headaches but overall, if the guard had stood-down, its more likely that the female would not have turned. Actually, when the movie was showing clips of blood platlets in junction with the scientist holding her head in pain, I got the impression her brain was the last part of her body to reanimate and that the process caused extreme pain. When the soldier ended that process, another transformation took the place of the initial phase.

All in all, the answer is NO. Everything would have been free and clear.
