I missed something I guess because I saw Cooks character go to his front door (from inside his apt.) to check to see if Costner had left but how would Costner have left by the front door yet lock it from the inside ? I had my back turned for a second or 2 to answer my ringing phone - I know I missed whatever explained this ... anyone ?

He also explained how he'd been doing this for a very long time. Meaning he had tons of practice with this tool.
