any1 think movie failed bc the world is mad@ Ed's treatment of Angel
Eddie publicly denied Angel while his ex girlfriend Melanie was pregnant with her. Then when Angel was born on his birthday he still denied her.
After the blood tests he sent $ for the birth hospital costs & is sending child support, but still wont c her.

Then Ed turns around & does this movie about a father not spending time w his daughter!

Did he think families would 4get his bad treatment of his own daughter that was just 2yrs ago?

This is the first I've heard of that. Big deal! What does it have to do with this movie? The movie failed because it's awful because Eddie Murphy cannot conceive of attempting any growth as an actor. Thomas Haden Church is a dud. The script is pitiful. And, the child is a sickening, irritating little brat. She is NOT cute! The Native American bit is especially stupid. Then, there's the bit about it being just another hardworking-father-is-a-terrible-man movie.

I don't follow any gossip, and I don't believe it's right to judge an actor and/or a movie based on that gossip! Again, this movie doesn't need gossip to be a stinky failure.

I think the film failed because audiences got turned off by Eddie's film choices a long time ago.
