Martin mcdonagh is a poor man's tanintinos?

Between seven psychopaths and in bruges I feel they have some tarintinoeque themes. For example they are heavily dialogue based along with lots of over the top violence, heavy drug use age, and quirky characters. Thoughts?

I prefer In Bruges to Pulp Fiction, honestly.

I also prefer less popular things because I am a hipster.

You're a *beep* moron

reply

I would not say "poor person's". Not because it discriminates, but because it doesn't make any sense.

reply

That and their styles are distinctly different despite some similarities.

McDonagh is primarily a playwright. Tarantino is an exploitation filmmaker. Big difference.

I assume you mean Tarantino. And I agree with redfox. I prefer In Bruges to Pulp Fiction.

Even though Tarantino (without s) is probably one of my favourite directos i consider In Bruge one of the greatest movies of the 1990-2015(era) and better than all of QT's films yes even Pulp Fiction.

my english suck sorry

reply

McDonagh is a genius playwrite, and Tarantino admittedly inspired him and his writing style. I think he is the better writer though.

reply

No.
Certainly not "In Bruges".
With Seven Psychopaths the similarities are there but I can't say I enjoy it any less.

reply

In Bruges & Seven Psychopaths over any QT movie.
