There was a very nice reference to GG's The Third Man with their encounter in the sewer. Just thought I would point that out.

Another connection to Greene is the 2002 remake of The Quiet American which starred Michael Caine, and is based on one of Greene's books. I had a small chuckle at the inside joke of Caine mentioning Graham Greene. Coincidentally, I watched this on TV a few days before I got this film through Netflix.

Nobody gets to be a cowboy forever.
