How he got the 100 million pounds.

It was mentioned that the money would be transferred into a Swiss account. We assume at the time it would be his account but it turned out not to be. So he deliberately didn't get the money for himself.

The insurance company paid an anonymous Swiss account the money to have the diamonds returned. Although worth 100 million, the diamonds could not be quickly replaced and the loss of reputation would damage the firm long term.

Hobbs actually achieved all his objectives:
-Maintained the firm he worked for
-Got revenge on the Insurance company/owner
-Altered Quinn's life for the better
