Suitcase cracked me up

I loved it when he found out that the suitcase had a handle, and from then on he literally dragged it everywhere.

I like it as a piece of comedy but also as some social commentary, I'm only 22, but I still remember a time when suitcases didn't have wheels and we actually had to carry our luggage.

A comedy from England called 'Peep Show' summed it up in a scene where it says a real man "doesn't let the earth carry his stuff", so funny.

I took it also as Frank's bewilderment with the modern world, like how he uses landline as oppose to mobile. I enjoy finding things like this in movies, it makes them feel as if they were made for you.

"a real man doesn't let the earth carry his stuff". ha ha. awesome.

"I said no camels, that's five camels, can't you count?"

Totally agree!
It shows the difference between generations. Even after his grandson more or less showed him he didn't fully get control over it. Excellent movie!

Me too! I loved when he wheeled it all the way from the back of the concert hall, where his son and the orchestra were rehearsing to the very front of the stage: with it squeaking and squealing with every roll. LOL! The looks on the faces of the musicians was priceless. It was an empty theatre, he could have left it at the end of the aisle, but no, he had to take it all the way up there with them. He never let go of it. :)

But it was heartbreaking to me to see it circling the empty baggage freight carousel, all alone, no other bag on there: while he was being whisked to the hospital. *sob* That made me tear up.

I also got all teary eyed when they showed his luggage bag all by itself..my friend giggled at it but I found it really sad. But the scenes of frank dragging his squeaking luggage down the aisle was funny:)

He also used a camera with "real film", (not a digital). That's what the husband said when they were taking photos in the driveway at the big house.
