a great movie

so heres the story... i was at afi dallas film festival today wit a few hrs to kill and looking for something to see... joe pantoliano is walking through the theater lobby and i approach him to shake his hand. he askes me what im seeing and i tell him i have a ticket for something in a few hrs and was considering something to see... he says to me "you're watching Canvas" and walks me to the auditorium with a voting ballot for the film. i had no idea what the movie was about going into it. coming out, i loved it. a genuine story of mental illness/fatherhood/family bonds. joe is great actor and this film truly shows his range. afterwards, there was a Q&A session with joe and joseph greco (the writer/director). joe had some great things to say about making the film and why he took the role and got involved with the film. for anyone looking for a great mellow and relaxing film, check this movie out. its wonderful!

PS: thanks joe! it was great to meet you!
