Bolo's Back!

Being a huge Bolo fan, i'm thrilled to see he's come out of retirement to do a film. The movie itself doesn't sound like anything to get too excited about, but if Bolo's in it then they've sold me a ticket already.

I'm interested to see what shape he's in and what ability he has now. If memory and math serve, he was about 50 when he played Van Damme's nemesis in Bloodsport.

Being a Bolo Fan #2 , am glad as hell that he's back.
The movie has a superb cast , however i agree that it probably wont be anything special. Anyway - with such cast , ill be looking forward to seeing it. Jalal Merhi really did a good job on getting all the actors together.
The thing am VERY curious about is that Bolo was attached to Van Damme's "Kumite" project , but then "left". And now he's back in Merhi's movie....thats a food for a thought.

PS: U're absolutely right , Bolo was 50 when Bloodsport came out.

I've seen recent pics of him (2004 or so) and he looked almost the same as in bloodsport. It's crazy...he just doesn't seem to age. Must be the Tai-Chi.

reply

Wow, BOLO is almost 70...and he's doing another martial arts movie? Anyone have any recent pictures of him

reply

i hope bolo will be in the cast of the jean-claude van damme bloodsport 2 sequel in late summer.

He still looks to be in good shape...What happened to his eye, i don't recall ever hearin what happened to it

reply

OK people, but remember: the movie has jalahl merhi's finger on it. He is no guarantee of a decent movie.

Pretty sure it's a contact for the movie.

reply

The eye is most likely just one of those white contact lenses... used them myself before, and if you don't normally wear contacts, they aren't a ton of fun!

reply

He was originally, but now he isn't, it seems.

reply

50 ? if IMDB has his birthdate correct (July 3 1938)Bolo would have been 60 wnen bloodsport was released (1998)

reply

LOL, all of a sudden I got 10 years younger. 1998 eh? You read dates good

reply

Bloodsport was released in 1988!

reply

I just watched Bloodsport. And I must say: Fifty years old!? Holy crap. I would've guessed 35.
What is Van Dammes "kumite project"?

reply

Jeez. Does that guy ever age? He still looks like he would beat the crap out of a gang without breaking a sweat. This I have to see!

reply

Bolo is awesome. He's my favorite action/martial arts star. I will definitely pay to see this movie.

reply

I cant believe that noone has got up and done something about getting this released, there must be some money to be made somehow at the very least.
There are scores of totally wak films that sadley see the light of day so why not this one that dont look half bad ....and just look at the cast.
