Still in Production as of Nov 4th

Just an update...although it has been pulled due to Dancing with the Stars takeover of that 2 hour block of tv...it is still in production. They are doing the order of 13...with 3 left to shoot. You just never know. I think people are so mean and write such snotty things. Cant this be a place to think and look at the positive side of performance???? How would you feel if you were the one on the other side. The cast and crew, they have feelings and lives and emotion attached to their projects. This is a good show, and they have a lot of good things going....The problem is they premiered it way too late...with Dancing and others gaining their following. that does not mean that this was a bad show....I know so many who love it and are sad that it may be gone. Come on NBC give it a chance in another slot. :)

Sorry, it's been cancelled. We got the word yesterday. It should be in Variety by Monday or Tuesday.

well funny cause my friends are all working next week on the show...and not taking down the sets but actually on the crew doing blocking rehearsal and getting ready for episode 10....so not sure why they and the actors are rehearsing as of Wed????? Keep us posted....you have inside information. would they not tell them by now? Or do they just show up? I know one of the actors and they are not aware. Of course aware of the scheduling changes or perhaps lack there of...but were all told the 13 would be shot for sure. Oh brother what next...

Oh look, a unicorn.

I've never been attached to anything that didn't get horrible things written about it on the internet. I didn't run home and cry afterwards. The DP who posts here called another show he worked on a "piece of crap." Mmm, yeah, I can smell the emotion.

It's true TWENTY premiered way too late, but the numbers were just horrific, irregardless of when it premiered. If you can't even do better than Univision, quite frankly, you deserve to get dumped. That goes for 30 ROCK, as well (and I like that show).

As for Warner Bros. and Werner-Gold-Miller finishing the order, well, they're doing that with HAPPY HOUR, too. Doesn't mean FOX is going to air the one they're shooting next Friday.

What is DP?? what is he crying about? Just confused about that portion of your post!! I know it premiered late...but I also think that has something to do with the ratings. it gave far to much time for people to get stuck on other things. And it also shows the state of this world and Neilsens that Dancing with the Stars is a hit. I know not one person who watches it and so on and so on. So who the heck has those boxes and who the heck watches that sh*&. It is taking jobs from a crew and talented folks. I dont like 30 Rock and I want to. I really wanted some laughs but for me it does not work. I dont like Earl much either. Very sophmoric....I know what you mean also about airing versus shooting. I just find the entire tv thing depressing. I hate all the new shows except Heroes. All the reality train wrecks. We have turned into a alleged nation that loves a train wreck. People dancing and singing and playing game shows. Very Sad.

when he says DP he is referring to the director of photography

People are generally far ruder on the internet than they would be in real life. This is a phenomenon of the internet and I have noticed many people who are soft spoken in person, sound downright mean and totally insensitive in emails. Of course for critics, mean and insensitive comes naturally, and they don't seem to care one way or the other who their words might hurt. That being said, most of us who work on shows have heard it all before and it doesn't affect us one way or the other. Asifanybodycares knows that these shows are, first and foremost, a paycheck to the crews. We may love the show we are on, but we work on the ones that are a piece of crap too because we need the paycheck just like any worker in any industry. At least we know our bombs aren't dropping on Iraqi children. (that was a joke) But thanks for sticking up for us... we can always use one more unicorn.

I just wanted to clarify things. The crew does put its heart and soul into these shows and we do have a stake in its success because of our cumulative work. Sometimes it seems inconceivable that our shows are cancelled. This was the case with TGY because I believe all of us on the crew thought we had a wonderfully funny, well written, and potentially long lasting show. I still don't think I was wrong in my assesment... I feel that if given a chance this show would have garnered a large following, but the shortsightedness of the network brough about its early demise... of course, I could just be in denial too...

It does hurt when people tell us our work sucks, but this business grows thick skins on the workers and we learn to deal with all the nay-sayers.

Thanks for your support
