DVD?

Will this ever be out on DVD?

reply

Unlikely as the BBC aren't willing to put the shows online due the costs they would have to fork out for all the content featured within the show.
It'd cost them even more to have them shown online and even more to have the series released on DVD.

Still, theres always youtube.

xthemusic (a user) has just about all of it on youtube. Pity about the low quality though. Much rather have it on DVD.

reply

I'd love to see it on DVD, this has got to be about the funniest, most intelligent, most enlightening thing on tv in years.

Don: No, you are going to have to turn this opportunity yes!

reply

I'd pay extra for it.

I've missed lots of early ones, but I did do some discs of later stuff, a disc of three specials from 2006, and Series 4 on two discs to tide me over until there's a new one. It is similar in some respects to TV Burp, which I was fortunate enough to record all off.

I've got the complete collection on DVD, top quality, too...

Dear Raul Duke

Thanks for your e-mail regarding 'Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe'.

I was pleased to read that you enjoy Charlie's humorous take on the world and understand you'd like to know if we've any plans to release this series on DVD.

I'm currently unaware of any immediate plans for this to happen. However, if you'd like to make a suggestion for its release as a DVD, you can put it in writing to the Programme & Acquisitions Department who're responsible for the commercial DVD release of BBC programmes. Please write to:

Please note that there must be adequate public interest before a release can be arranged.

It won't be out on DVD. It's too topical, referring to current events. As funny as it may be, it will be irrelevant at some point.

reply

I doubt it as the show features content from all channels, so the BBC would have to pay a lot for the rights to relese it on DVD.
