Vilified for Love?!

Just finished watching this movie and found it quite well filmed for a topic that is so difficult to speak and be open about.

I felt both pride and sadness for all the gay people that were brave enough to go on film. To be so dedicated to one's religion yet have that same religion vilify you merely for loving, is outrageous.

We stand by criminals, people who have committed some of the most horrendous crimes and yet so many people stand in judgment purely because you are Gay or Lesbian?! They are some of the most hypocritical people, actually wanting these people to endure punishment, torture and even death by burning and stoning because they found love?!

I wanted to hug the mum who had her daughter and lover over to her home and even joked about the bird being gay! Now that is unconditional love; to stand by your child regardless of your religion, beliefs and outside pressure.. The saddest thing is knowing these people still feel so strongly about a religion that will only accept them if they conform. I admire them for their strength but can't help but feel their religion does not deserve them.
